Interiors

The Villa has been carefully restored and improved by the present owner, the prince Borghese, whose family bought the property more than 200 years ago. All the rooms are decorated with original furnitures and paintings, venetian glass chandeliers and persian carpets, and all the bathrooms have been recently renewed.
The Villa features 6 bedrooms all ensuite, with living areas and common spaces of a stunning beautiness. Ground floor is composed by the premises (kitchen and service staff areas) and a large indoor dining room, with 20 seated places in an imperial table, with a huge fireplace. On the first floor there are two wings, divided by a Royal living room: the left wing has two master bedrooms ensuite and the original Chapel of the Medici family. A large dining room with stone fireplace on the ground floor can comfortably host up to 12 people, a charming biliard room still on the ground floor and a trophy room which is a unique tribute to the past of hunting lodge! The main Living Room is located on the first floor and it’s a masterpiece of art and decoration, in over 150 squared meters of space, featuring sofas, beautiful statues, paintings and an impressive original stone fireplace, other than a wooden model of one of the most known churches in Rome, where the noble family owning the Villa comes from. Special Areas

The Villa Medicea was built almost 500 years ago, and despite the continuous renovations and modern comforts that it features nowadays, it also displays original themed decorations, charming and enchanting for all our guests. Some of these decorations make some areas of our villa very “special”, such as the billiard room, in front of the original Renaissance sacred Chapel, or the Hunting room, or the armors corridor, with impressive iron decorations. Here is a short gallery of our “special places”

Library

Located on the first floor, right after the main living room, there is an original library room, with books from the past centuries, and renaissance or rococo decorations: some of the books can be consulted by our guests, and are displayed on the central wooden golden table.

Dining

Although during spring and summer our guests love to have the majority of the snacks or proper meals outside in the garden “alfresco”, or by the pool, our Villa has an impressive dining room, seating up to 20, in front of an original fireplace, with a wooden table and royal chairs. All the precious table clothings, silver cutleries and fine porcelains come from the private collection of the Borghese prince family, and will always be used for our guests.
